“11.2 The Big Assembly in Fukushima, No Nuclear Power Plants! Take Back Safety Fukushima” convened at Arakawa Athletic Park in Fukushima City on November 2^nd, 2013. 7,000 people attended the assembly including more than 70 members of ZENKYO.

Two years and eight months have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake and the accident of Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plants occurred in March, 2011. The accident hasn’t restored yet, and serious conditions have been continuing in Fukushima. Radiation – contaminated water from the Nuclear Power Plants has flowed out into the ocean, and the flood is incapable of being controlled. The accident has various impacts on people’s livelihoods.

Nuclear Power Plants cannot coexist with human life. ZENKYO has stated, “The Japanese government should take a responsibility of solving problem of radioactive contamination water!” and “Complete decontamination of radioactive materials, and safety and security for people!” and “Decommissioning of Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plants!!” to take over beautiful the ground, sky and ocean to future generations.
