On March 9th, 2014, there were demonstrations for eliminating of Nuclear Power Plants, “Don’t Forget an accident of Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plants! We Are Against to Reopen Closed Nuclear Power Plants.” 3 years have passed since the accident.

In Tokyo, “10 Million People’s Action to say Goodbye to Nuclear Power Plants”, “Metropolitan Coalition Against Nukes” and the National Liaison Council to Abolish Nuclear Power held massive action calling for a Japan without nuclear power, “Action for No Nuclear Power.” 32,000 citizens rallied in the Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall. Around the Diet and Kasumigaseki are filled with excitement by these people. From ZENKYO, 200 people participated in the action.

The rally started at 1 p.m., and there was an action of limiting entry earlier. People who didn’t enter the hall, they listened to appeals outside of the hall. Victims of the accident of Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plants, prefectures where nuclear reactors are located and Ryuichi Sakamoto, a musician, gave speeches to the audience.

After the rally, the participants marched in demonstration to the Diet, and joined massive assembly in front of the Diet. They had continued shouting until late, “No Nuclear Power Plants! We are against to reopen of closed power plants!”
